“PSIT offered the right support at very short notice, at reasonable cost, when we really needed it”
“I enjoy working with PSIT and we have a very positive relationship. I was new to pensions and found them very helpful.”
“The work that has been done has been delivered beyond expectations.”
“I found the trustee training really beneficial, highly recommended. I am not a trustee, I represent the employer and I think it will be valuable for me in future, having a better understanding of the trustees' perspective.”
“So much more proactive than the previous company. On the ball - thinking in advance of things needing doing - very proactive.”
“Their pragmatic approach helps with quick and easy decision making. Another approach might have made things more difficult.”
Mark is a Client Director at PS Independent Trustees (PSIT). He is responsible for ongoing schemes and a small number in a PPF assessment period. He leads on schemes where PSIT acts as a sole trustee and in arrangements as part of a wider trustee board.
Mark has been involved in independent pension trusteeship for many years, starting with Barclays Corporate Trustees in the early nineties. He previously worked with them in pension administration and in their Life & Pensions IFA business.
Mark moved to Royal Exchange Trust Company (a trustee subsidiary of GRE and Axa), eventually moving to Capita Fiduciary in 2000. In each of these roles, he either led or supported the trustee relationship for schemes of differing sizes, sponsor types and situations. He has first hand experience of changes in regulation over that time, together with the corresponding increase in pension trustee responsibility and liabilities.
Having had involvement with over 100 different schemes to date, Mark is well placed to understand the different needs and dynamics of pension schemes and the employers that support them, including the importance of getting a sound scheme governance structure in place.
Mark has extensive knowledge of the advisory market and is skilled at selecting the best set of advisers to ensure successful outcomes for a particular scheme.
