Client feedback

Ian has added more value than we thought he would at the start… which shows it pays to go with someone who is doing the job of a professional trustee as their bread and butter.
Katherine Breading,
Tyser
PSIT offered the right support at very short notice, at reasonable cost, when we really needed it
Ian Edwards,
Chair of Trustee, Comet Pension Scheme
In my experience, not all professional trustees are able to cope with tricky or potentially confrontational situations. I find HR Trustees has massive experience in getting involved, earning the respect of others and resolving such issues. They get stuck in – they are a first rate team.
Katherine Dandy,
Partner at Sackers & Partners
Very professional and engaged service.
Danny Nussbaum,
HR Director, Volvo
Excellent service - as expected and why PSIT was chosen.
Stuart Barker ,
Independent Occupational Pensions Consultant, RSPCA
I found the trustee training really beneficial, highly recommended. I am not a trustee, I represent the employer and I think it will be valuable for me in future, having a better understanding of the trustees' perspective.

Role

Lorna is a Scheme Manager within PSIT Secretarial Services. She acts as pensions manager and scheme secretary, helping clients ensure their schemes are run smoothly and a high level of governance is maintained.

Background & experience

Lorna has, for the majority of her career, worked within in–house pension teams for larger schemes. She joined the TI & Dowty (now Smiths) pensions team and was promoted through the ranks to Pensions Manager. She has also worked as Pensions Admin manager & Secretary to the Trustee Board of Alstom Uk, a £1.2bn Scheme with over 10,000 members.

Prior to joining PSIT, Lorna was Pensions Manager and Trustee Secretary for the Law Society and its pension scheme. She continues to support the forum set up to keep members in touch with one another following the buy out and assists with the archiving project.

Lorna’s extensive experience is combined with an enthusiastic, flexible and proactive approach. This enables her to quickly develop effective working relationships with sponsors, trustees and advisers.

Lorna acts as Secretary to a local committee set up to raise funding and manage a project to build a new community hall within her local area. For the past 10 years she has also organised a stall for the local fete, making lots of items to sell in aid of local charities.
