Role

Laura is a Scheme Manager within our specialist Pension Protection Fund (PPF) team. She also provides secretarial support to a number of ongoing client appointments.

Background & experience

Laura has over 11 years’ experience in the pensions industry. She started her career in a law firm as a Pensions Paralegal before being seduced by the variety of work and experience trusteeships can offer.

Laura specialises in schemes requiring wind up and legacy DB arrangements. She has experience with complex investment strategy reviews and legal issues connected to members entitlements and scheme documentation.

Laura is an experienced project manager and routinely assists in scheme governance, data and benefit reviews, investment reviews and legal reviews. She has assisted with the successful transfer of eight schemes into the Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), nine schemes into the PPF and one PPF plus buy-out.

Laura is certainly adventurous. She has hang glided in New Zealand and snorkelled in the Great Barrier Reef and around the Galapagos Islands. She also took part in a night time half marathon to raise money for Cancer Research.
