Edwin has been a Director of PS Independent Trustees (PSIT) since 2008, having previously been a Director of one of Punter Southall Group’s legacy trustee companies. He retains a small number of Scheme Actuary appointments but now focuses on extending his PSIT client portfolio.
Edwin began his training with a major firm of consulting actuaries in 1975. He then spent a period in the pensions department of a broking organisation. He went on to establish BGJ & Co, successfully growing this pensions and actuarial consultancy throughout the 1990s. BGJ was acquired by Punter Southall Group in 2002.
Edwin has substantial experience of working in all aspects of pensions and with schemes of all sizes, with particular emphasis on working closely with advisers to achieve desired objectives for defined benefit (DB) pension schemes. He has also been closely involved in large scale administrative exercises, including outsourcing of whole pension departments.
Edwin is not afraid to take on a challenge. Acting as project manager, he not only successfully built a new house but also added a lake (into a hillside) in front of it.
