Wayne is Managing Director of PS Independent Trustees Limited (PSIT) and PS Secretarial Services (PSSS). He started as a professional trustee in 1990.
Wayne's clients range from small independent companies to multinationals listed in the UK, Ireland and overseas. The largest sponsor has a turnover in excess of €5bn.
Wayne started his career in 1990 with Prudential in the specialist area of Small Self Administered Schemes, dealing with direct pension scheme investment. He continued in this type of role after joining a leading actuarial firm, Alexander Clay & Partners, and soon moved on to develop his career on larger occupational pension schemes.
During this time, Wayne held a number of appointments working with international clients and has particular experience of Irish pension arrangements. These appointments included secretary to the trustees, pensions manager and consultant. The largest of these schemes had over 10,000 members.
Since 2001, Wayne has concentrated on acting solely as a professional pension trustee and, before joining PSIT, was a director of another independent trustee company where he was appointed by The Pensions Regulator to the failed MG Rover pension arrangements.
Wayne developed the internal controls review for the Punter Southall Group, is a member of the Governance Technical Committee and works with their Group Risk Management Committee. He leads PSIT’s research into pension scheme de-risking and delegated investment management propositions.
Wayne has worked on many high profile trustee appointments, and has been involved in a number of industry initiatives, including PensionsForce, a voluntary project through the NAPF. He is Chief Executive of a specialist trustee training business, the Trustee and Pension Management Association (TPMA).
