Suzi is Director of Marketing and Communications at PS Independent Trustees (PSIT). As well as being responsible for all aspects of marketing and the internal and external communication of our business, she is also an experienced pensions communication consultant who creates bespoke communications in a variety of media for our clients.

Suzi has worked with PSIT since 2005, but joined the Management Board in this specific role in 2015.

Career history

Suzi is a graduate of Durham University and is a qualified actuary.

Suzi has over 20 years' experience in the pensions industry, starting her career as a trainee actuary with Towers Perrin. As well as advising trustees and sponsoring employers on all aspects of defined benefit (DB) pension schemes, she also worked with what was at the time one of the largest defined contribution (DC) occupational pension schemes. She also worked on broader employee benefit arrangements including flexible benefit schemes.

Suzi joined Hazell Carr in 2001 as a member of a small team establishing a new pensions consulting business. Here, she was responsible for developing relationships with professional connections and intermediaries, assisting the regional offices with business development and overseeing the transition of outsourced actuarial and administration contracts from a large insurer.

Suzi joined Punter Southall in 2004 to grow and strengthen business development and establish a marketing team, helping the business to develop its 'group' brand. She went on to head up marketing and communications for Hargreaves Lansdown Corporate Solutions, where she developed extensive contract-based DC scheme experience including pension governance and provider management.

In 2010, Suzi founded Ammatti Communications, a marketing and communications consultancy specialising in employee and pensions communications, and marketing for financial and professional services firms. She also developed interests outside of pensions, joining the board of her local housing and also sitting on the audit and risk committee.
