Role

Kirsty is an Assistant Scheme Manager within PS Secretarial Services (PSSS), also providing support to PSIT's independent trustees. Kirsty’s role includes assisting Scheme Mangers on larger pension secretary and pensions manager appointments.

Career history

Kirsty began her career in the pensions industry in 1990 when she joined Provident Life (Winterthur Life) where she worked on a variety of occupational and individual schemes, both insured and money purchase. Over a number of years she has held administration positions in third party and in house environments including with Hartshead Solway, Aon and QinetiQ.

In 2006 Kirsty moved into a pensions specialist role at QinetiQ, a public private partnership, outsourced from the civil service in 2001. Her role was to support the pensions manager and the pension trustee board with the day to day running of the scheme. Duties included the monitoring of the pension fund trustee budget, maintaining internal processes, liaising with the HR team during sales and acquisitions, managing the group life assurance and income protection policies and setting up a new group personal pension (GPP).

Kirsty joined PSIT in December 2011.

Kirsty holds the Pensions Management Institute Qualification in Pensions Administration and has completed the Trustees Tool Kit.
